The working group chaired by Ukrainian vice Prime Minister and healthcare minister Raisa Bohatyriova will hold a meeting on October 12 to consider amendments to the law of Ukraine on the principles of the national language policy.
The PM’s press service informs that amendments to the law were prepared by the professional team headed by Leonid Kravchuk.
As soon as the working group considers the amendments and approves them, the document will be sent to the Justice Ministry of Ukraine and other central executive agencies determined by the government, Interfax informs.
In addition, the working group is planning to consider a draft concept of the State Program for Support of the Ukrainian Language, particularly the draft program with financial calculations, as well as a list of priority measures due to be implemented this year. A group of experts chaired by Rector of the Taras Shevchenko National University Leonid Hubersky developed the package of relevant documents.
"It is expected that the working group will approve the abovementioned draft documents and pass them according to the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for taking further decisions," reads the statement.
