The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will lend Rengy Development Company for the construction and commissioning of solar power plants in Vinnytsia region, Ukraine.

It is noted that according to a leading adviser on foreign relations EBRD Anton Usov, this will be the first in the history of the bank project for financing of this type of alternative energy.
 
According to him, all the details of the project will be announced at the press conference on October 8 dedicated to the signing of the loan agreement, attended by representatives of the Bank and partners of the Rengy Development Narek Harutyunyan and Sergey Evlanchik.

The Rengy Development (Kyiv) is planning to build in Vinnytsia region six solar power plants with a total capacity of 50 MW. According to data published on the Rengy Development website, the company's portfolio includes solar energy projects with a total capacity of 65 MW.

As reported, in 2011, the international group of companies Activ Solar built in Crimea the Europe's largest photovoltaic park with capacity of over 100 MW. The project, worth about 300 million euros was financed by Sberbank of Russia and Russian VTB.
