There are no citizens of Ukraine among those detained in the U.S. on suspicion of exporting high-tech electronics, press-secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleksandr Dikusarov said on Friday.

"According to the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States, received from the competent authorities of the state, among the detainees there are several individuals native of the former Soviet Union republics. One of the detainees is a native of the USSR, but he is not a citizen of Ukraine. He has only U.S. documents confirming his identity and no other that would confirm another nationality," Foreign Ministry spokesman said.

On Wednesday, U.S. authorities charged 11 people, suspected of illegal exporting high-tech microelectronic devices from the U.S. to Russia. Eight people are taken into custody in the U.S.
Charges were also brought against three citizens staying in Moscow.
