Ukraine and Russia intend to expand cooperation in the nuclear energy, minister of energy and coal industry Yuriy Boiko and general director of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" Serhey Kiriyenko told journalists in Kirovohrad region.

In particular, Kiriyenko noted that this refers to projects on the uranium mining and the nuclear fuel production.

"The key question is an enrichment and conversion. We agreed that this could be a joint enterprise on the Russian territory," Kiriyenko said.

In addition, he added that cooperation can be expanded in engineering, where there are already joint projects.

In turn, Boiko stressed that there is a mutual interest in this field, so it is possible to expand the cooperation.
