Speaker of Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytyvn has signed a resolution on withdrawal of the draft bill on libel from the legal basis of the parliament.
On his Facebok page Lytvyn reported in particular that he had decreed to withdraw the draft bill "On amendments to the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code to strengthen the responsibility for an attack on the honor, dignity and business reputation of people" from legal framework of the Verkhovna Rada.
The speaker underlined that there is no need to return to consideration of this draft bill. "We should not come back to mistakes, we must learn from them," Lyvyn summed up.
