EU Visa Free Regime not to be politicized

Law on biometric passports should be taken even earlier, representative of Ukraine to the EU Kostyantyn Yeliseev said during the eleventh meeting of the heads of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I welcome this decision, we finally made it, although it was necessary to make it even earlier, as it is the core of the Action Plan on Visa Free Regime, which we are implementing," he said.

Eliseev said that the appropriate report will be hopefully submitted in the EU, based on which, the EU will prepare their documents, and Ukraine, in turn, will move to the second phase of this plan.
"Cancellation of visas for Ukrainian citizens should not depend on the political climate in the EU- Ukraine relations," the diplomat concluded.
