Ukraine should increase the amount of grain crop and increase its exports for the next five years,
Prime Minister said during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We cannot lose any fine day. After all, we aim at increasing of grain crop, enhancing the export potential of Ukraine for the next five years," the PM said.
"It is a very responsible season for farmers. They continue collecting grain. Sunflower is 80% harvested, that is 5.8 million tons of seeds. Corn has been collected from more than 40% of the area, that is 7.2 million tons," the head of the government said.
He noted that the total yield is expected to be at the level of previous years.
He also mentioned that the government has made forward purchasing more attractive for farmers.
"Perhaps it is time to start new grain forward purchases campaign 2013.
Advances, which farmers receive from the state, implementing this mechanism, are interest-free credit," he said.
