FTA with the CIS countries will open prospects of free trade in the large economic space for Ukraine, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Yalta approved a set of measures for 2012-2014 to implement the Interstate program of innovation cooperation until 2020. The strategy of cooperation with construction and development of the information society and the action plan for its implementation till 2015 were also approved," Azarov said.
According to him, a statement of heads of government to entry into force of the Agreement on free trade with the CIS countries was adopted at the meeting as well.
Now, according to Azarov, the agenda includes a new period of Ukraine's cooperation with the CIS countries, including the phased implementation and development of provisions of the free trade are with the CIS.
