European Parliament is to suspend the mission of Aleksander Kwasniewski and Pat Cox in run of election in Ukraine, European Parliament President Martin Schulz has told a press briefing today.
"We'll stop the mission in run of election campaign, as we do not want our members to be the tools in the campaign," he said.

The European Parliament President said that the mission is likely to be resumed after the election and the formation of the new government of Ukraine.

Schultz also said that both representatives of the European Parliament will prepare a small summary data on their interim report, submitted today, for the EP political groups to discuss the material.

Schultz also said that on 3 October he will inform the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov of today's European Parliament meeting and the main findings on it, as the mission of Kwasniewski and Cox is the result of agreements reached between Schultz and Azarov.
