Interfaith dialogue in Ukraine will develop, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said at the international summit on the protection of national minorities “Experience of Ukraine for the World", President’s press office reports.
Yanukovych noted that Ukraine has rich experience of co-existence of different faiths in the dialogue. Recently, it has been promoted significantly by the work of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.
"I am convinced that this dialogue will only deepen, and I, as President, will greatly support this," Yanukovych said.
The President also praised the idea of today's international forum as a platform to discuss contemporary problems of inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations in the world.
"It is extremely important that all of us together are conducting a constructive dialogue. I am confident that together we can maintain peace and harmony," he said.
