The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider in the first reading the bill on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine concerning the payment of court fees. The decision was taken at the meeting of the Parliament’s Committee on finance, banking, customs and tax policies,  ForUm correspondent reports.

"The fee rates will rise, but only those who file lawsuits and are involved in other legal procedures will pay the fee," head of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine Ruslan Kirilyuk told ForUm.
According to him, the adoption of the bill is to improve the existing legislation through the introduction of court fees in administrative offenses cases, as well as trough adjustments of individual rates of court fee levied for the presentation to the court of suits and other claims.

"The main purpose of the document is to create a legal framework, which will compensate the costs for consideration of individual categories of cases, which in turn will increase the level of funding of courts and ensure proper conditions of work," Kirilyuk stressed.

The proposed innovations will bring additional 148.5 million UAH in the state budget, the expert concluded.
