The Ukrainian government will continue to cooperate actively with public organizations of veterans, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian public organization of veterans, the press service of the Cabinet reports.
The Prime Minister noted that the Veterans Day is not just a holiday for him, but an important day. "And creation of the comfortable conditions in their daily lives is not just a work in the social sphere, but also a tribute and gratitude to the veterans," Azarov said.
The Prime Minister assured that the level of social assistance to veterans that grew up in 2012 will continue to increase next year.
In addition, Azarov promised that the government will strengthen the social protection of veterans during preparation for the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, which will be celebrated in 2015.
