
Thousand kilometers of forest roads will be laid in Ukraine by the year’s end, chairman of the State Forest Resources Agency Viktor Syvets said, ForUm correspondent reports.
"This year we have already built 650 km of forest roads. By the year’s end, this figure will increase to 1 thousand km," the head of the Agency said.
Construction will be continued in the next year as well.
"We need to lay 300 thousand km more, if we want to approach the European level. Therefore, next year we are planning to lay about 1.5 thousand km of forest roads," the official concluded.
Today, the forest road in the Olevskii forestry in Zhytomyr region has been opened.
