The case of rabies of a cow was registered in a private household in village Seferovka of Barsky district of Vinnytsia region, the Emergencies Ministry Vinnytsia regional department informs.
"It was registered that on September 25 the grazing behavior of the animal was aggressive - it rushed at other cows and a dog. The next day the cow was slaughtered and a carcass was sent for examination, which confirmed rabies of cow," statement says.
People, who were in direct contact with the animal, were immunized. The SES and veterinary medicine staff take preventive measures in the village.
