At the meeting with chairman of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Ian Tombinski, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov assured that the integration of Ukraine into the European Union is a strategic mission for the government.

"We truly intend to cooperate and implement the strategic documents between Ukraine and the European Union. First of all, this concerns agreements on political association, free trade area and visa free regime," Azarov said.

The Prime Minister added that the European Union is an important trading partner for Ukraine, and its trade volume amounts to almost 30%. He also expressed an interest in the growth of trade. "This is the aim of free trade area, and all our efforts are directed at implementation of the favorable trade climate between our two countries," Azarov noted.

The Prime Minister also stressed that Ukraine expects an infusion of European investments in the Ukrainian economy. According to him, the government adopted a number of decisions to create a favorable climate in Ukraine.
