The government is interested in the transparency of the parliamentary election in order to increase public confidence in government and reforms conducted, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Ian Tombinski, the Cabinet’s press service informs.

"For us, it is a very important step, as the country needs further reform. However, it is difficult to conduct reforms without the trust of the population," Azarov said.

The Prime Minister assured the interlocutor in the creation in Ukraine of open and democratic environment for all participants of the electoral process. Azarov said that all the polling stations will be equipped with web cameras, so that everyone will be able to monitor the election. "We are doing everything to ensure the free democratic election," the head of the government said.

The head of the EU Delegation noted the high interest of the international observers, in access to information and the election results. He noted: "We see the government's efforts to hold elections in the most transparent manner."
