The Ukrainian government intends to transfer the Boryspil international airport to the concession to convert it into an international hub, the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry reports.
On 26 September, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution enrolling the Boryspil airport on the list of objects of state property that can be transferred to the concession.
According to experts, the future development of the airport is possible only due to the transformation into a full hub site, and this strategy coincides with management of the main airlines, which have already started to increase transfer passenger flows.
The Infrastructure Ministry supports the transference of the integral property complex to the concession.
When the project is ended, all new municipal facilities built within the concession will remain in the hands of the state.
The decision to grant the concession will be made only on results of the concession tender by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
