Ukraine is ready to support any proposals for the diversification of energy supplies to our state, deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine Volodymyr Porodko said during the international conference "NATO and partners: new security challenges", ForUm correspondent reports.

"It is no secret to the world that Ukraine’s energy dependence affects the efficiency of its economic development. These circumstances are both objective and subjective. We are ready to support any proposals to diversify energy sources in Ukraine," he stressed.

According to him, Ukraine is also ready to introduce energy-saving technologies and exploring the use of renewable energy sources.
In turn, the representative of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Maksym Kostenko said that "Ukraine has the most powerful underground natural gas storage system in Europe".

He reminded that there are 15 facilities, which can contain 32 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
The official paid special attention to the Ukrainian gas transportation system. He noted that its effectiveness is confirmed by time and exploitation. "Its potential is not fully used," the representative of the National Security and Defense Council said.

In addition, Kostenko said that from the point of view of energy security, the partners of Ukraine in Europe should be focused precisely on such projects as the Ukrainian gas transportation system and storage facilities. He noted that Ukraine intends to implement Kyiv-Brussels agreements on the gas transportation system modernization.
