Prime Minister: Ukraine should reduce trade deficit

Ukraine should reduce the trade deficit, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov told a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The government continues a policy on expanding of the domestic demand, import substitution and promotion of the domestic goods in foreign markets. And then the role of internal factors of the economic development increases significantly," the Prime Minister said.

According to him, Ukraine has a huge untapped potential.

Meanwhile, Azarov reminded that the import substitution program in Ukraine has being already implemented in many sectors of the economy.
