
The European Union is ready to establish a buffer zone with Ukraine on vaccination of animals against rabies, head of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine Volodymyr Horzheev told a press conference on the topic "Epizootic situation of rabies in Ukraine," ForUm correspondent reports.
According to Horzheev, the EU wants to move the boundaries of immunization at a depth of 70 km into Ukraine. "This zone will take the perimeter of Volyn, Lviv and Zakarpattya regions," the expert said.
"As of today, in these regions, the work on tender actions is being carried out, and the vaccine will be purchased. The work should be finished by the end of October," he concluded.
