Head of the National Bank Serhiy Arbuzov considers continuation of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund to be reasonable, he said in Washington after a meeting with the first deputy managing director of the IMF David Lipton.

"Ukraine has never refused to cooperate with the IMF. We have always had the fruitful cooperation and continue to work together now. This work aims to overcome some differences between the parties. I am confident that a solution that will satisfy our country and the Fund will be found. Respectively, we will continue the lending program Stand by," Arbuzov said.

He also said that Ukraine successfully raises funds in foreign markets, but because of possible exacerbation of the debt crisis in the euro area, it continues to cooperate with the IMF.

In addition, the NBU head noted that Ukraine can hardly meet the conditions of the IMF on increase in the natural gas prices for municipal heating enterprises and households.

Arbuzov added that the Ukrainian delegation has already completed its visit to the United States.
