Ukrainians are rarely issued 3-4 year multiple-entry visas, as they do not know their rights, representative of the Stefan Batory Foundation in Warsaw (Poland), Joanna Fomina told a press conference " EU visa practice in 2012: is there a change?", ForUm correspondent reports.

In particular, the expert said that her organization sent the Polish Foreign Ministry information request to find out why the Ukrainians are rarely issued visas for a period of 3-5 years by the Polish consulate, and the reason for the long email queue.

The response was received.

According to Fomina, the Ukrainians are not aware of that they can apply for a 3-4-year visa and note in the application a term for up to one year. However, for the first six months of 2012, 12 thousand Ukrainians were issued 3-year multiple-entry visas and about 3 thousand - 4-year multiple-entry visas.

As for the electronic queue, it was found that there is a large percentage of fictitious profiles.
"Ukrainians themselves often enter fake documents - hundreds every day, the expert said. She suggests that perhaps someone queue up to sell the queue, or the queue is artificially increased for people who want to get a visa to use the services of private intermediaries.
