Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is satisfied with the implementation of the steps taken to ensure the food supply security, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during his working trip to Ternopil region, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The Prime Minister stressed that for the last two years, greenhouses, vegetable and fruit storages and wholesale markets have been actively constructing. "We develop very serious program that we started two years ago, and now we are actively introducing it," Azarov said.
He noted that construction of the large modern greenhouse complex in the village Synkiv in Ternopil will allow to create new high-tech jobs with high salaries.
Azarov said that the greenhouse complex will annually produce nine tons of vegetables, so this will help to reduce imports and to save foreign currency.
