To date, Ukraine exported about 1.2 million tons of wheat, agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk said in the interview with Bloomberg international news agency during the trip to the U.S.

The minister predicted that the sale of wheat on the world market will slow down in November, when new crop corn supplies will start, which export is expected to reach more than 12 million tons.
He also added that in the 2012/2013 marketing year, Ukraine does not need to impose restrictions on the wheat export.

Prysiazhniuk said that Ukraine will remain a stable partner on the grain market.

According to him, this year Ukraine harvested about 15.5 million tons of wheat, its projected exports will be no more than 5 million tons. Thus Ukraine will be able to ensure its own food security.
The minister recalled that only in the current marketing year, Ukraine plans to export up to 22 million tons of grain.
