In three-four years, the birth rate will exceed the death rate in Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during his working trip to Ternopil region.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Prime Minister noted that for the eight months of this year, the birth rate increased by 20 thousand people, and the death rate decreased by 2 thousand.
He stressed that few years ago, mortality in Ukraine exceeded the birth rate by 200 thousand people, but now this figure has been reduced to 100 thousand people.
"I am sure that next year, we will reduce this figure to 70 thousand people and to 20 thousand in one year. And in three or four years, we will have the growth of population," Azarov summed up.
