Technical reequipment of the Antonov State Enterprise costs 300 million dollar, chief designer of the Antonov State Enterprise Dmytro Kiva told a roundtable "Development of aircraft of Ukraine", ForUm correspondent reports.
"This should be done step by step and for at least 5 years," he said.
Kiva noted: "We do not lag behind other countries in terms of design and try to stay at this level. But in terms of production and renewal of funds, we see what is happening in other countries including Russia. We get offers from other countries on deep and close cooperation."
According to the chief designer, the Antonov State Enterprise holds negotiations with the European countries on cooperation. "Perhaps, in the near future, you will notice some changes. We are carrying out several serious negotiations," Kiva said declining to name these countries.
He explained that it is early to talk about the results of negotiations, and there was no agreement with that country on promulgation of the negotiation process.
