Ukraine has achieved a lot on the way to the European integration, President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski told a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, ForUm correspondent reported.
Komorowski added that his country expresses the position of "holding of fair elections in Ukraine according to the European standards. Regardless of their outcome, fair elections should open a way for further activities including signing and ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU."
"This is a big bet for Ukraine and Europe. In this case, one can gain much and lose as well," the President of Poland said.
He also reminded that the Polish international observers will work in Ukraine during the parliamentary elections.
