The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expects business to increase investment in domestic enterprises, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The government understands the objective difficulties that hinder the development of domestic enterprises. That is why we conduct painstaking work aimed at improving the business environment in Ukraine. We reduce taxes and regulatory pressure. The government maintains an open dialogue with trade unions and employers," said Azarov.
However, he said, a number of enterprises are in a difficult situation today.
"The government is going to meet business. But business must have adequate reaction. However, we believe that the state should consider any assistance to domestic producers as an investment, not only from an economic point of view but also from a social one. Therefore, the government expects the business to enhance social responsibility and investment in the development of Ukrainian enterprises," the Prime Minister said.
