Ukrainian banks earned 650 million UAH in August

In August of 2012, the banking system of Ukraine earned 653 million UAH, which is by 4.4% less than in July of this year (683 million UAH), the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

"Revenues of the Ukrainian banks increased by 7.0% and amounted to 98.3 billion UAH compared to the same period in 2011. And expenses of the Ukrainian banks decreased by 1.1% and amounted to 95.4 billion UAH for this period," the statement said.

In January-August of 2012, total net income of financial institutions of the country numbered 2.9 billion UAH, while for the same period of the last year, a net loss of 4.6 billion UAH was registered.
