In Ukraine, 300 animal units will be released into the wild annually, the press service of the State Forest Resources Agency reported.

According to the report, one of the largest wild animal parks of Crimea was opened in Alushta. There are martens, hares, foxes there, as well as 30 boars, 11 mouflon and 5 deer on the territory of about 90 hectares.

"This wild animal park cost 700 thousand UAH. These funds were spent on fencing of the area, construction work and wood for the pillars. In future, the territory of the park will be increased to 240 hectares," the statement said.

According to head of the State Forest Resources Agency Viktor Sivets, in one year, new inhabitants of the park will produce their first offsprings, and as soon as they get older, some of them will be released into the wild, others will be given to the hunting industry.

"In 2012, the similar parks will be arranged in six regions of Ukraine including Crimea, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Rivne, Sumy regions. Every year, we plan to release 300 animal units into the wild," Sivets said.
