The only possible way to overcome the global crisis is the modernization and reforms in Ukraine, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said at the 9th Forum of the Yalta European Strategy.
"We have understood that we cannot wait out the current global crisis. And we have chosen the only possible way - the modernization of our country and the deep reconstruction of all aspects of society and the state," Yanukovych said.
According to the President, the situation in the country is stable now, because Ukraine has managed to overcome the inertia of decline.
Yanukovych reminded that Ukraine’s goal is to become one of the most developed countries. "I am convinced that we have the necessary capacity and political will to implement these ambitious intentions," he said.
