The Central Election Commission is holding a seminar with the chairmen, vice-chairmen and secretaries of district election commissions on issues of the preparation and holding of the parliamentary elections in Ukraine on October 28, 2012, ForUm correspondent reports.

This seminar will be held within two days to train heads of the district election committees of all regions.

Deputy head of the CEC Zhanna Usenko-Chorna explained that "today, the CEC holds the first part of the seminar. Tomorrow, there will be the same seminar for members of the district election commissions of other regions."

According to her, the today's seminar include representatives of Vinnytsya, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Transcarpathia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions.

In total, 327 people take part in the training seminar .

The agenda of the seminar includes the following issues: the state register of voters, voters' lists, the legal status of official observers, political parties as agents of the electoral process and guarantees of the political process, the establishment of regular and special election commissions, control of the formation and use of election funds of MP candidates, information and analytical support for the electoral process.
