The Ukrainian government will continue implementing the tasks set by President Viktor Yanukovych: provide people with quality and effective medicines at affordable prices, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We have already reduced prices on medications for hypertensive patients. The next step will be the introduction of partial reimbursement of the drugs cost to these patients. The budget 2012 will allocate 40 million UAH for this, and the next year we will increase funding to 192 million UAH," the head of the government said.
Thus, he said, the government will reduce the drug price for 12 million citizens, who constantly take this type of drugs.
