Ukraine can create six million new jobs by 2020, deputy Prime Minister, minister of social policy Serhiy Tihipko told an international conference "New industrialization: employment and decent working conditions," ForUm correspondent reported.

In particular, he noted that the United States, Russia, the EU and China have a purpose to create jobs. In Ukraine, this issue also needs to be discussed.

Tihipko said that as of today, many Ukrainians are afraid of losing their jobs. In 2009, the unemployment rate amounted to 9%, and in 2012, it will not exceed 7%.

According to the deputy Prime Minister, today, in Ukraine, four million people work illegally, and at least three million Ukrainians work abroad.

"Seven million people can be integrated into the labor market," he said adding that at the moment, there are 14 million jobs in the country, and by 2020, it is possible to increase this number to at least 20 million.

For this, we need to decide, according to Tihipko, three sets of issues including overall improvement of the investment climate, development of the strategic industries and reforming of the labor market.
