Ukraine hopes the vehicle recycling tax, introduced by the Russian Federation, will be cancelled at the summit of the CIS heads of government in Yalta, on September 28, 2012.
"We hope that at the summit of the heads of government, which is traditionally held in Crimea, we will make a joint statement. We hope to succeed in agreeing on mutual access of engineering products in terms of vehicles recycling by September 28," trade and economic development minister of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said at the meeting with the head of the Eurasian Economic Commission board Viktor Khristenko.
Moreover, he did not rule out that the first deliveries under the agreements will be done before the middle of December of the current year
"I hope the arrangements to be fixed in Yalta. I am optimistic that this can be done by mid-December. With the political will of the parties it will be quite possible to solve the issues of liberalization or elimination of fundamental safeguards for goods producers of both countries," the minister said after the meeting.
