The Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry of Ukraine proposes to introduce vehicle recycling tax on cars, trucks, buses, and bodies for vehicles, the wording of the Cabinet’s draft resolution says.
According to the document, tax is to be applied to all enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of property, which imports the mentioned vehicles under categories codes 8702, 8703, 8704, 8705 and 8707 (including all sub-categories).
Along with this, it is offered to compose the register of domestic producers, which shall be exempted of tax payment, until October 1.
The Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry and the Economic Development and Trade Ministry are instructed to adopt within two weeks the minimum fee rate, the order of preparation and recycling of unserviceable vehicles and vehicle bodies and the order of implementation of appropriate controls.
