The composers of the Times university rankings refuted the words of the education and science, youth and sports minister of Ukraine Dmytro Tabachnik that the Shevchenko Kyiv National University entered the list of the world top universities, the Center for Society Research reports.
"I can confirm that the university was not included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Rankings for 2012-2013 will be published on October 3, 2012," the chief editor of the Times Higher Education Rankings Phil Batey said.
In particular, while the university has not been entered in the rating, it is assigned the status "has not been given a ranking position”. Additionally, Batey has not personally called Tabachnyk, but does not rule out that someone of the editorial staff could call him.
