Kyiv authorities plan to raise about 800 million UAH of investment funds to introduce energy-efficient technologies in the Kyiv schools. The Kyiv City State Administration press service informs, referring to the deputy chairman of the KSCA Leonid Novokhatko.
"I can confidently say that in the next 2-3 years, we will eliminate the causes of the cold schools. We have already launched a large-scale work on the heating-up of educational institutions," Novohatko said.
According to him, this year's city budget provides for 4.2 billion UAH for the “Education” expenditure item. It is 708.7 million UAH compared to 2011. The city budget provides for 76.7 million UAH to prepare educational institutions for the new school year.
"The capital and current repairs of schools have been already carried out as well: 72 roofs, 20 fronts, 102 networks of hot and cold water, 538 modular individual heating units have been repaired," the report of the KCSA says.
