The pace of the domestic construction industry development has reached the pre-crisis level of 2007, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said, giving a lecture at the Kyiv National Construction and Architecture University, ForUm learned from the Cabinet’s press office.
"In 2012, we have finally reached the pre-crisis level of the construction industry," Azarov said.
He reminded that in 2008-2009, the level of construction fell by almost 60%. "This means that out of ten constructions - six has been stopped," the Prime Minister said.
The head of the government added that in the spring of 2010, when the country was in a deep crisis, it was important to increase the cost of capital construction for the economy to develop. According to him, the government will continue to pay maximum attention to the development of the construction industry.
