Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that if Ukraine introduces a vehicles recycling tax, the Russian passenger cars in the Ukrainian market will rise in price by one thousand dollars approximately.
"If we also introduce a vehicles recycling tax on Russian cars, coming to our market, they will cost one thousand dollars more expensive, and the Ukrainians will not buy them," Azarov said, giving a lecture to students of the Kyiv National Construction and Architecture University.
According to the PM, with the introduction of Russian vehicles recycling tax since September 1, the Ukrainian passenger cars will rise in price by 600-1000 dollars, and trucks - by 20 thousand dollars approximately in the Russian market.
