Defense minister of Ukraine Dmytro Salamatin and head of the National Defense University of Ukraine Vasyl Telelim opened renovated dormitory of the National Defense University.
As ForUm correspondent reports, 27 keys of housing units were granted to officers, the first year students of the University, and their families during the ceremony of the keys.
"116 best officers passed the exams and tomorrow will become the students of the prestigious institution - the National Defense University. We need new, well-trained, dedicated to military affairs staff," he stressed.
In turn, Telelim explained that 27 families of students will live in the renovated dormitory. In addition, other 30 students will be settled on the second floor.
According to him, this is the first stage only. "Now there is a reconstruction of another dorm and 80 families of the officers-students will be able to settle there in a month. We will completely solve the problem of housing of students," he said.
Telelim also said that the reconstruction is carried out at cost of the special fund. "The University earned this money through scientific and educational activities," the head of the university said.
He noted that the teachers, the permanent staff of the university is planned to be provided with housing as well.
