The Central Election Commission of Ukraine approved the appeal to the National Council of Ukraine for Television and Radio Broadcasting, and the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting. As ForUm correspondent reports, the document was adopted at today's meeting of the Commission.

The law of Ukraine on the parliamentary election provides for all TV and radio companies to give air time for campaigning of the candidates at the cost of the state budget.

The appeal refers to the fact that some regional TV companies do not provide such opportunity, so the CEC asked the National Council and the State Committee to solve this issue.

According to the CEC, the receipt of preliminary broadcast time schedules finishes on August 31, but now some regions are failing to provide full air time for campaigning, which is unacceptable and requires urgent attention.
