Cancellation of payment for Polish national long-term visas will allow Ukrainians saving up to four million EUR per year, Foreign Ministry press office reports.
The statement reminds that the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the cancellation of payment for registration of national (valid for more than three months) visa comes into force starting from September 15, 2012.
Only in 2011 Poland issued more than 200.000 visas to Ukrainians.
The FM press service noted that "the recent decision of Cyprus on visa liberalization with our country, and the decision of Poland, our strategic partner and another EU member state, is a result of the work on ensuring the rights of our compatriots to freedom of movement, implemented by the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine at the instruction of the President of Ukraine".
