The purpose of the social initiatives, which are being actively implemented now in Ukraine is improving the quality of life and well-being of all the citizens, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said to journalists in Donetsk region, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
"All the social initiatives are designed for our people to live better," he said.
Yanukovych stressed that the government will raise the level of assistance to socially vulnerable categories of citizens.
Besides, he added, much attention will be paid to the development of programs for the protection of mothers and children - in particular, ensuring the proper conditions in perinatal centers, maternity hospitals, etc.
