On September 1, Oschadbank will start the next stage of citizens’ registration for receiving compensation for lost deposits of the former USSR Savings Bank, Prime Minister Azarov said during the government’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reported.
"On behalf of the President, the government has already paid the compensation to more than 2.5 million Ukrainian citizens, and this process will be continued. To register new additional information, citizens who for whatever reasons could not get compensation before can submit," he said.
According to Azarov, Oschadbank managed to create the best database of depositors and the schedule of compensation payments.
He also reminded that the compensation will be paid by October 25, and the citizens registering in September will be able to get it.
In addition, the Prime Minister instructed to pay attention to disabled depositors and those who changed the place of residence.
