The Consulate of Poland will start issuing free Polish national visas, which now cost 20 euros, to the citizens of Ukraine starting from September 15, Foreign Ministry of Poland informs.

On June 28, the Polish government completed the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the agreement signed on June 6 on the abolition of fees for Polish national visas for Ukrainians. The Ukrainian authorities did the same on August 10, officially notifying the Polish party on August 15, the Polish Foreign Ministry noted.

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine spokesman Oleksandr Dikusarov notes that the agreement abolishes the payment for long-term national visas for the citizens of Ukraine and Poland, which have to be in the territory of the other party for three months but not more than one year. Dikusarov added that the agreement comes into effect after all the internal procedures are completed. "We expect that this agreement will come into effect in September of this year," he said.
