Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that the utilization fee, introduced by Russia, is most likely not to affect Ukraine.

He noted that Russia's introducing utilization fee is not related to the free trade area within the CIS and is the sovereign right of Russia.

"We also can introduce utilization fee on the imported equipment. However, I’m not sure we should do it. The talks with the Russian leadership have been already conducted. The Russian party promised to study the issue thoroughly, so this issue is likely not to affect Ukraine," Azarov said to journalists in Brovary, Kyiv region.

In particular, according to the PM, he has such an arrangement with his Russian colleague Dmitri Medvedev.

Azarov also said that the issue was discussed between President Viktor Yanukovych and President of Russia Vladimir Putin during the meeting in Sochi (Russia).

At the same time, he noted that Russia has not accepted any decisions towards Ukraine so far, so Ukraine needs to wait a bit.

As a reminder, Ukraine expects to negotiate with Russia that the Ukrainian cars, delivered to Russia, are not taxed with 30% utilization fee.
