The government appointed the Cabinet of Ministers academic scholarship for students of III-IV accreditation levels universities for semester II of 2011/2012 academic year and for Ph.D. students for 2012/2013 academic year in order to encourage the best students and Ph.D. students and to create more favorable conditions for youth to acquire higher education.
The relevant resolution was taken at the Cabinet’s meeting, the Education and Science, Youth and Sports Ministry press service informs.
Proposals for candidates for scholarships were pre-considered by the academic councils of the higher education institutions. The scholarship will be appointed to the students of the third and the following years and the PH.D. students, who are the most distinguished in the academic and scientific work and are actively involved in the social life of the institution.
The payments are to be implemented within the university scholarship fund. The students will get 850 UAH, the PH.D. students - 2 379.35 UAH per month.
The decree of the Cabinet on appointment of the Cabinet of Ministers academic scholarship for students and Ph.D. students will contribute to the implementation of state policy in support for talented youth.
