The state aid program on child birth and simultaneous development of medicine will allow to reach the excess of birth rate over death rate in all regions of Ukraine in year and a half, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said in an interview with three TV channels of Luhansk region, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
"The natalism on the one hand, the development of medicine and the reduction of mortality on the other hand have already exceeded of births over deaths in six regions of Ukraine. In 1-1.5 years, the birth rate will exceed the death rate in Ukraine," Azarov said.
The Prime Minister stressed that the increase of the Ukraine’s population is an important task of the government. "Talking about the future development of Ukraine, the growth of gross domestic product and the creation of jobs, we need to think about increasing of the Ukraine’s population," the head of the government said.
