Yanukovych hopes to change positions in gas relations with Russia

Kyiv hopes to change positions in the gas relations with Moscow, President Viktor Yanukovych said at the meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

"We believe that this issue (of gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine) will be always the part of our relations, so we would like to change a little our positions in relations with Russia," Yanukovych said.

The President of Ukraine also noted that the two countries have good prospects in the field of high-tech products in third countries markets, particularly the CIS and Asian markets. According to him, Russia and Ukraine will benefit from expanding markets in this field, and Kyiv is interested in joining the efforts with Moscow.
